Here's a girl that has good taste! At least my website is listed. Oh and I think she's from Houston so that's cool.

Phone cam photos aspire to art! Well of course this was going to happen. I wish I could make phone calls with my holga. Here's his website. He definitely got a Seurat, pointillist thing going on, it's actually fairly cool.

I realize I've not gotten much new work on the site in awhile. Been busy with moving, completing some photo orders, working the day job, and just got back from San Diego for a few days. Went to the photo museum in San Diego, there was a real variety of stuff to look at. It was real interesting comparing the print quality of some who are considered to be the best printers, especially that of a living/working photographer whose b&w prints are fawned over by many. I felt his print was good but did not stand out, kind of interesting. As usual, don't believe the hype.

I think my new pet peeve is how companyies handle and ship their mat board. Only United Manufacturing seems to care how it will arrive and that it might actually be used for something important. So far all others suck! Just got an order of some board and of course all corners are dinged and one has dark scrapes on it, and it was even bent since only lame thin cardboard was used--no inserts at all. Well I've learned my lesson to only order from United.

I've just returned from an opening at the Edina Art Center where I have a photo on display. I like the Edina Art Center, the main room is more like a living room, and not like a modern gallery with white walls and polished cement floors. While it's exciting to get accepted to show in an exhibit, I feel very hollow when I go to the opening and see my photo(s). I'm having a hard time understaning why. This has happened at the last two art exhibits I've been in. This doesn't happen at art shows with my booth set up. Doing art shows I love talking to the people and seeing their reactions and what they are interested in. At a crowded group art exhibit this can't happen--I guess I just can't relate to the scene, maybe it's because I don't drink anymore, I don't know. It is interesting how I react though.

Didn't move too far this time. I'll be updating my contact info shortly.
